The cemetery information was compiled by volunteers working under the direction of the Boone County Historic Preservation Board. Cemeteries are listed alphabetically by name. While a handful are named for their location (e.g. the Old Belleview Cemetery), nearly all of them are named for the people buried there.

The compilation has been divided into 2 volumes as follows:

• Volume 2 - J-Z
